Dale Knaak’s work explores his fascination with the conventional spaces of the everyday. The ordinary that goes unnoticed. Stripped of embellishments, elegance or charm, the subjects of his paintings stand as a testament of time. Dale sees them as a point of contemplation, a contemporary statement on past and present, kept.
He finds it interesting to take a visual experience, process and reinterpret it as a personal experience.
Dale is a native of Sheboygan , Wisconsin . He moved to Milwaukee after high school to study art. He lived in Milwaukee for 10 years, where he received the basis of his art training.
